Delivering a speech during the award ceremony for employees delivering successful practice, Yusuf Akçayoğlu, CEO at İGA Airports, said “The right to life overrides and prevails over everything. That is why it is out main responsibility to protect our employees’ health and maintain their safety. Our dedicated Directorate of Health, Safety and Environment at İGA Airports protects the occupational health and safety of all our employees and continues to deliver work to raise awareness on the issue. Activities to reinforce the culture of Occupational Health and Safety enable our employees to produce successful practice. The field of occupational safety generally tends to discipline individuals through punishment. Yet we encourage our employees to respect and conform to occupational health and safety requirements thanks to our reward system. Our directorate rewarded 106 employees in February, with a total of 166 individuals being awarded OHS rewards in the last six months. We will continue to implement this system in the future.”
