Prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the report considers the sustainability activities done during the construction of the İstanbul New Airport. In the light of the principles of GRI G4 Coreit brings the airports sustainability work to the attention of its stakeholders. Corporate governance, environmental sustainability, business and social management practices are collated in the report. He will enhance the development of the sustainability culture in Turkey as well as the sustainable development of the country.

The CEO of the İGA Airports Construction emphasized that sustainability is a matter of culture for İGA: “We constantly strive for the better and more advanced. İstanbul New Airport is much acclaimed for its work in the field of sustainability. It was awarded the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System Document, updated in December 2016, being the first company to have received the document in aviation and comparative sectors. Moreover, IGA carried out a detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment at the outset and engages in various fields of work such as Biodiversity, Ecology Management and Social Investment. In the 2016 planning, İGA set a goal in order to crown the project with international certificates such as the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) by USGBC (United States Green Building Council) and the Envision Rating System certified by the US-based Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI).
