ITB Berlin: İstanbul New Airport at the World’s Leading Travel Trade Fair

ITB Berlin: İstanbul New Airport at the World’s Leading Travel Trade Fair.

The İstanbul New Airport booth was very busy. For five days, from March 7 to 11, the airport was presented at the Turkey Hall of ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin), the world’s largest tourist trade fair. Interest in the Istanbul New Airport was enormous, not only among the experts but also among the general audience as well. Alongside the architecture and design of the terminal and tower, the different technical innovations to enhance passenger experience were of particular importance for the visitors.

Some 110,000 trade visitors alone passed through the 26 halls on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Altogether, around 10,000 exhibitors and organizations from over 180 countries were present. Revolutionary forms of transport, “overtourism,” and digitalization in the tourism industry were some of the key topics. The desire to travel is unbreakable. The global travel industry is continuing to grow, as demonstrated by the number of outbound trips increasing by around 6% last year.
