İGA – İstanbul New Airport will be represented with its İstanbul Airport City at MIPIM, the world’s most prominent real estate exhibition, held in Cannes from March 14 to 17. İstanbul Airport City is a globally unique urban development located near the airport. Featuring hotels, offices, shopping centers, social facilities, hospitals, schools, and exhibition facilities, İstanbul Airport City will also boast a green, sustainable design and an architecturally rich mixture of structures. It will provide services not only for airport patrons but for the entire city. Such a unique urban model, like those developed near the world’s greatest airports, will be the first of its kind in Turkey. It will serve as a reference point for future airport cities worldwide.
İstanbul Airport City will be completed in synch with the phases of the New Airport project. The first phase is designated as the “Core Zone,” located on a 420-thousand-square-meter area near the main terminal building. The Core Zone is composed of hotels, shopping malls, mosques, hospitals, and residential areas. Hotel projects that will provide services for both airport passengers and companies in addition to business centers occupying prime office space are scheduled for completion in this first phase.
