4.5 BILLION LOAN AGREEMENT
İGA signed a loan agreement worth €4.5 billion with Ziraat Bank, Halkbank, VakıfBank, DenizBank, Garanti Bank and Finansbank to finance the first phase of Istanbul New Airport. Participants at the ceremony included President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, numerous senior bureaucrats, İGA Board members, and senior managers of creditor banks.

THE FIRST PART OF THE SPACE FRAME ROOF OF THE İSTANBUL NEW AIRPORT IN PLACE
Installation of the first part of İstanbul New Airport piers' space frame roof is now underway. Construction continues at full speed in the terminal building of the Istanbul New Airport, which, when completed, will become the largest airport in the world 'built from scratch'. The roof of the structure, which spans 145,000 square meters excluding the roof of the terminal building pier, is designed as a space frame model. In this regard, the first phase of the work is focused on a 5,000-sqm part of the roof, approximately 1,000-sqm of which is already completed.

İSTANBUL NEW AIRPORT ATC TOWER BREAKS GROUND
Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication, inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony of İstanbul New Airport’s Air Traffic Control Tower designed by Pininfarina and AECOM. The tower, winner of the 2016 International Architecture Award, will be 90-meter-tall and completed in 2017.
