4.5 BILLION LOAN AGREEMENT SIGNED
İGA signed a loan agreement worth €4.5 billion with Ziraat Bank, Halkbank, VakıfBank, DenizBank, Garanti Bank and Finansbank to finance the first phase of Istanbul New Airport. Participants at the ceremony included President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, numerous senior bureaucrats, İGA Board members, and senior managers of creditor banks.

THE FIRST PART OF THE SPACE FRAME ROOF OF ISTANBUL AIRPORT IN PLACE
Installation of the first part of space frame roof for piers at Istanbul Airport is now underway. Construction continues at full speed in the terminal building of Istanbul Airport, which, when completed, will become the largest airport in the world 'built from scratch'. The roof of the structure which spans over an area of 145,000 square meters excluding the roof of the terminal building pier is defined as a space frame roof area.

FOUNDATION LAID FOR ISTANBUL AIRPORT ATC TOWER
Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication, inaugurated the foundation-laying ceremony for Istanbul Airport’s Air Traffic Control Tower designed by Pininfarina and AECOM. Winner of the 2016 International Architecture Award, the tower will have a height of 90 meters and the rough construction will be completed in 2017.

BAGGAGE SYSTEM OF ISTANBUL AIRPORT IS COMPLETED
The last conveyor in the 42-km long baggage system is installed and the system is now ready for the opening.
